There are lots of battery problems like overheating of battery, short circuit. After lots of complained filed by the customers, million of units are back for repairing. After the lots of complaints from the customer amazon also stop selling them. New models of hoverboard which are now in the market are safe to use because UL certified batteries are used in them. And the quality of the product also depends on the the manufacturing company. Best hoverboard of 2017 which are safe to use are available on hoverboard amazon.
