Independent agencies will remain in office: Wissanu
By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Friday that independent agencies will continue in office following the promulgation of the new charter and changes would be clearer when the new organic laws are enacted.

The organic laws would address new requirements for the agencies, and these may include the selection of whole committees, Wissanu said.

At least five Constitutional judges will finish their terms next month, and the selection would take place under the old law, which is still in effect for them. They would stay until the new organic law says otherwise, he added.

Also, committee members of the Auditor General Office and the Auditor General will finish their terms in September and the selection would take place accordingly, Wissanu said.

So not exactly 'independent' really.

So long as the NCPO remains in power and can wield Article 44, the term "independent" is relative

We get it, or at least most of us do. Nothing will be allowed to change apart from a little window dressing here and there, which can be easily ripped down by the designers. Even that is a good way off. Why the need to 'report' slight variations on the same theme?
