I am looking for the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' country advice for Thais travelling overseas regarding terrorist threats, health etc.

I could not find anything on the English language website. Maybe they don't provide this advice?

I'd recommend using the US or UK websites for that.  Much better information.

Are you looking to travel to a specific country/region?

I need the information as I have arranged a summer camp for my niece in Korea this July and I am beginning to be concerned about the security situation in the peninsula.

We would make our own decision about whether to proceed with the camp but if there was a travel advisory notice by the Thai government to avoid all by essential travel to Korea this would help with refunding the fees paid.

But having written this I just remembered the camp is run by a Canadian company so we could use the Canadian govt advice. Thanks.

About 15 years ago, I had a trip planned to India.  Just before the trip, India and Pakistan were threatening each other with nuclear war.  I got nervous and cancelled my trip.

Guess what?  Nothing happened.  I missed out.

Is the camp in North or South Korea?  Either way, everything should be fine.

I'd still look at the travel advisories by the US and UK governments.  They tend to be a bit over the top due to legal issues, but worth a read.  Don't forget, these travel advisories are also a way for the government to cover it's butt in case something goes wrong.  Avoids lawsuits, but tend to be a bit over the top with regards to safety.

If it really goes bad, your Canadian company will cancel and refund your money.

North Korea!!!

Travel report please !!!

(very safe, every traveler/group having a personal secret agent accompanying, no risk of robbery etc. :whistling:)

THIS WAS IRONY.

Thousands of Thai people live in South Korea legally or illegally (members of our family among them). Thousands of Korean tourists traveling to Thailand on holiday.

If there is acute risk for Thais in South Korea you would have read about it here or in the English newspaper sources.

Who knows a country that warns of tourist trips to South Korea? (Germany and Switzerland don't).

The country as such is one of the safest, highest developed and best organized in Asia.

If you are afraid to travel to South Korea then you expect the next big (or world) war to break out. US currently deploying war ships and such.

I just turned down a trip to NK.  Part of a group going there to play ice hockey.  I don't play, and the agenda was too focused on being in the rink.  I guess I was going to be the water boy! LOL

Young Pioneers have some great trips.  I might go there in August.  I know quite a few who have done these trips.  All say it was great.  And sad to see how the people there are treated.

Been to Cuba several times.  Fantastic place to visit.  Horrible food. LOL  And terrible how the locals are treated.  Breaks your heart.  Another example of a terrible government.  Sorry, off topic.
