Multiple Entry Thai Visa For U.S. Citizen

Does anyone know if you can get a Thai bank account with a multi entry visa? And what if any financial requirements have to be met?

What type of multiple entry visa do you have?

If it is a non immigrant visa is should be easy to open a bank account. You only need enough money to open an account. You can open an account with as little as 500 baht.

This is the official Bangkok Bank requirement - be aware local officials (all banks) are often not aware if outside tourist areas and often a move from one branch to another results in different answers.  Be aware this is for a savings account as used by most people - checking accounts are not common for individuals and would likely not be available on such entry.
