Politeness

Recommended Posts

I have recently had reason to block a couple of members who are too full of their own cleverness when remarking on other people's posts and comments.

I would like to suggest first off that you are sure you have read and understood whatever it is you are remarking upon. The thing most often encountered is people
who comment on an original post without, quite obviously, having read it, or certainly without much attention. This is a bit annoying, though usually I limit myself to using copy and paste from the original text in a response.

People who attack or otherwise denigrate others posts, commentary, opinions, etc., are the worst, most narcissistic of ignoramuses, and I do not hesitate to block them from further impinging on my experience of TV.

The old saw about "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing" comes to mind.
