April 19, 20179 yr I recently started playing around with online teaching and I use a system that runs on OSX or Android. A friends kid had a small tablet that she said cost 1999B from Lotus, made by Huawei. The thing seemed to run smoothly. Does anyone have an opinion or seen any bargains? Ideally I would like something with a screen similar to iPad size, I was wondering about the video quality when compared to my iPhone and FaceTime on MacBook. All help appreciated, cheap and Android is something I'm not that familiar with, but for the money it might be an idea to run a dedicated machine.
April 19, 20179 yr Many cheap android tablets out there, but you get what you pay. If you want high end graphics, then obviously you'll want the higher specs. Something half decent will be about 6k baht.Sent from my SM-G935F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

So when you say graphics - do you mean fps / refresh rate ? Because It's not a games machine, it's for email / picture storage / chrome / this e-learning platform .. everything else would be scrapped.
April 20, 20179 yr I bought a number of cheap Android tablets, mostly from AliExpress and other Chinese online retailers. Their weakest feature is battery failure. The cheap tablets use very cheap batteries and I had several instances of batteries gassing out after little more than a year. That is when the battery suddenly starts emitting gas and the containment envelope puffs up like a balloon, often with enough force to split the device cases. I would expect you'd be safe with name brands like Huawei. The Teclast brand sold by many online retailers has a good reputation. Teclast has several models that have dual operating systems, both Android and Windows.
April 26, 20179 yr Just picked up a Huawei tablet. Original and latest for 3500 baht. Very happy with that.
