webfact
The news you'd rather not hear - electricity prices set to rise for May to August Picture: Thai Rath BANGKOK: -- Electricity prices for the next four months will rise by 12.52 satang per unit. The hike is due to increase in costs for generating electricity and is due to a change in the FT (fuel tax) rate that fluctuates according to costs in operating power plants, reported Thai Rath. The change will mean the average cost of a unit of electricity will be 3.5079 per unit from May to August. The FT rate has been adjusted from -24.77 to -37.29 said spokesman Wiraphon Jirapraditthakun meaning that prices would rise. This is due to increased gas prices. NO, never, how this mysterious FT calculated no none knows, we just sigh in hopelessness and pay... Edited April 20, 2017 by ezzra

Exactly, sir. robblok
Just now, Thaiwine said: yes she pays the landlord direct, 10 baht per unit electric and 40 per unit for water, Happens quite often.. lured in by a cheap (usually not always) rent.. and then made to pay more because of the utilities. Depending on usage it can work out cheaper, but more often then not it does not work out cheaper.
