I don't understand, how to search a bunch of Gmaisl  to/ from MR AAA -----but ---without... cc.. and also without..... forwards- ???

2. Gmail searches seem to be unreliable.  "between x date and y date" regardless if the "time frame mask "or the operators are being used.

Once more Tks!

I also need to provide a list of Gmails between myself and other parties--- since the last 7 years.

But excluding the many connected CCs or forwards.

Got a recipe for that task as well?

Not sure if you'll be able target all in one search query, or eliminate forwards.

Found this GOOGLE HELP page that might be of assistance:

Search operators you can use with Gmail
You can use words or symbols called search operators to filter your Gmail search results. You can also combine operators to filter your results even more.

So if I was sticking strictly to using the gmail web interface I'd do this as a TWO STEP PROCESS

Step  1. Use search queries to gather and mark all the emails meeting the requested criteria.

Use the select all feature, and tag them using the gmail LABEL feature to add a unique label to them.

Repeat the search query until you have all the emails meeting the requested criteria tagged with the unique additional LABEL.

Step 2. This process may capture emails you believe don't meet the requested criteria. So in step two you create searches of the uniquely LABELed emails that allow you to find and eliminate those emails (remove the unique LABEL).  You may find you'll need to review the final group and manually remove some that couldn't be uniquely searched and eliminated.

** Another option might be to enable IMAP support on the gmail account and use an "email client" application with better search capabilities (like MS Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, etc, etc,) that might allow you to 'stack' multiple searches to gather them.

Just note that gmail's LABEL functionality is a redesign of IMAP's Folder functionality, so using multiple gmail LABELs may create issues with IMAP folders if you are tagging emails with multiple gmail LABELS.  But you may have more luck accomplishing your searches using an actual email client application rather than the gmail web interface.
