Believe KL has been very iffy for the last several weeks for multi entry non immigrant O visa. Singapore was they only place remaining in the area at last report but have not seen any reports this week. You will need copy of marriage certificate and her ID card most likely.

You are aware of the new regulations for those that are married? The new requirement for in country extensions of stay is 40k family income per month (so wife can earn all or part now).

Thanks lopburi3, since they changed the rules decided against the extension, would have had to put 400k in my Thai bank as unable to show 40k , just hope some forum members who have been recently can confirm KL otherwise I will be heading for Singapore middle of January.

The 400k in the bank is no longer an option for an extension based on support. It has to be 40k a month income

Posting my my expierence with immigration concerning a renewed extention of stay based on marriage.

The previous 400K requirement is, according to our lawyer who spoke directly with immigration during our

renewal application process resulted in the following information:

1- Is still in available for those extending under the previous 400K rule.

2- The 400K must appear in the account 3 month prior to applying for the extension.

3- However, The 400K regulation is no longer available for those filing new applications for the extension

based on marriage.

4- For new applicants, the 40K per-month, combined income regulation is now the only option.

I recently received my one year extension based on marriage under the previous 400K regulation.

This was the second time I had renewed this extension under that 400K regulation. I was told to be sure

to show the 400K was in the bank 3 months prior to applying in the future.

Seems to be some confusion here. All I can offer is my direct experience with Thai Immigration (Bangkok.)

Possibly SunBelt can clairfy. Regards...
