BUENG KHAN: -- Ten villagers in Thailand's north east went to police yesterday to complain about "Uncle Mee" their friendly neighborhood second hand car dealer.

The villagers had been getting some great deals on their cars that they traded in for better second hand vehicles, reported Thai Rath.

Most of the vehicles traded in were still under finance arrangements.

The trouble was that Uncle Mee seems to have not kept up the payments on the traded in vehicles.

Now the finance companies were knocking at the door of the customers to reclaim their "new" vehicles.

Bunmee Sawantrai, 57, runs the "Lung Mee Rot Ban" second hand dealership in Sri Wilai district.

A warrant for his arrest on charges of fraud is being prepared.

Always looking for an unrealistic bargain. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
