Right-click on the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the screen, then: Computer Management -> Services and Applications -> Services, find Windows Update in the list, then stop it and disable it You'll want to turn it back on to check in every so often.
May 1, 20179 yr Also, as I did , go to manage internet connections and make the IP you are using a metered connection. Windows will not automatically update over on this type of connection.
