Hi everyone, I am a farang female married to a Thai male. I currently have a Non-Immigrant B Visa which is due to expire, I do not work. I went to Phuket Immigration today to apply for an extension based on marriage and they told me I have to leave Thailand and re-enter with a Non-Immigrant O Visa. I need to know what documents I will need to apply for the Non-O, I have spent hours searching and there is different information everywhere. So far I have gathered I need -

2x copies

Marriage Certificate

My passport (do I just need stamped pages or every single page?)

TM6

His ID

His Passport

His House book

All copies have to be signed by both of us

Letter from him in Thai stating we are married and live together

Any info would be very much appreciated! Thank you.

Copy of a reply I did to a post you did in another topic.

For males they want to see 200k baht in the bank to get a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage. But perhaps you will not need it since you do not need to show financial proof to get a one year extension of stay.

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, signed copies of your husband's house book registry and ID card.

You will only need one copy of everything.

You only need a copy your passport photo page.

You will sign your passport copy and marriage certificate.

For your passport you just need copies of the pages with stamps on them.

Not for a visa application. Only the photo page needs to be copied.

I have a similar question.

I want to apply for extension based on marriage. I already have Non Imm O Visa for 90 days and will be flying to Thailand next week to live in Korat.

Our's is an Australian Marriage Certificate. (I am Aussie, my wife is Thai).

Will immigration accept Australian Marriage Cert. Does it need to be  certified by Australian Embassy in Bangkok?

Does it need to be translated to Thai?

Cheers in advance

Your marriage will have to be registered at an Amphoe to get a Kor Ror 22 foreign marriage registry needed to apply for an extension of stay.

You will need to have marriage certificate legalized, translated to Thai and the translation certified by the department of consular affairs in Bangkok to do the registration.
