Police major found dead in petrol station

BANGKOK: -- A police major general was found dead at a petrol station in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district early Thursday morning.

 

Pol Maj Anan Prabpla, 48, an inspector for general affairs at Provincial Police Bureau 1, was found sitting on the floor with his back against a wall inside the PTT station on Khamphaeng Phet 2 Road.

 

An autopsy is to be conducted to determine the cause of death.

 

Anan was wearing his police uniform trousers and a white T-shirt. His Ford Escape XLS was parked nearby with the rest of his uniform and a half-empty bottle of brandy inside.

 

Petrol station staff told police they’d noticed Anan around noon on Wednesday sitting and lying at the spot where he died. He had asked one of them to buy him a bottle of drinking water.

 

His wife told police Anan has not returned home for a few days and she’d tried several times to call him.

Have to watch out for that locally produced "brandy". Should have shaken down a more reputable bootlegger.

I was thinking the same thing. If you don't take that brown envelope your buddies will not be happy they think you try to make them look real dirty. They will make life miserable for you. They will try to get you out, in serious case they have to do you in. This happens throughout the world not only Thailand, so Thais can take the consolation.

He asked for some drinking water which they obviously forgot to give him and therefore the probable cause of death is drinking a bottle of brandy. Falling asleep in a hot car. Dehydrating. Loss of conciousness and death. If he'd got that bottle of water he would be alive today. The petrol station should be charged with manslaughter.

well it's normal for people to sit and lie around all over the place isn't it - unbelieeeevable - not one person took any real notice or gave a rats arse about the guy -- wouldn't be too difficult to workout that he wasn't the local bum sleeping off a hard night.
