Management courses in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Does anybody know a good school or company providing coursed for mid/senior management in Thailand? I´m looking for something like this:

http://www.trainingbangkok.com/upcoming-schedule/effective-leadership-people-management/

But price for this course seems to be way too high (I believe for 2.250 USD I could go to attend something better in Singapore or Hongkong, although I can be wrong).

Course must be in English and I should probably point out my goal is to learn something, not to get some nice piece of paper as certificate...

Current rates for entire MBA programmes in English are somewhere between 400,000 - 800,000 THB.

This five day programme in terms of content and amount seems to be equivalent to about one module/ course. Your stated price is above that charged for postgraduate programme modules delivered at Thai universities. But than again this course seems to offer a low number of participants who are practitioners or professionals and not young graduates.

Most of these leadership and people management course in Thailand and elsewhere in Southeast Asia tend to focus mainly on North American and Western European ways of thinking and rarely make meaningful connections to local cases; this makes them of limited application to real world practices in Asia. Most people taking such course here are either doing this for obtaining a certificate or making network/ business connections.

Practices in Asia (especially in Thailand) is something I´m looking for, I would think with some many foreign factories there must something for foreign manager, but Icannot google anyhing...

Well, if this is what you are looking for than courses like this would be the closest you may get.

You may want to look for "people management" courses with a strong cross-cultural component. Also find out who are usually the other participants. Senior practitioners? How much cross-cultural experiences?

Alternatively look for coaches/ consultants who specialised in this.
