NAKHON PATHOM: -- Police arrested three men in Nakhon Pathom province for alleged sale of drugs following a sting operation that also led to the seizure of 100,000 methamphetamine pills.

Pol Maj-General Dussadee Chusangkij, commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau’s Division 4, said Atee Piaseku, 30, and Chai Mayer, 30, both from Chiang Rai province, and Thanakorn Thongphad, 28, a Nakhon Pathom resident, were arrested at 8.30pm on Tuesday.

Dussadee said the bureau officers had learned that the three were selling drugs in Bangkok and its suburbs. The bureau sent an undercover police agent to Atee, seeking to buy 100,0000 pills for Bt3.25 million.

Atee asked the undercover officer to deliver him the cash at the KFC shop at the Tesco Lotus shopping mall in the Nakhon Chaisee district of Nakhon Pathom province on Tuesday night.

After seeing the money, Atee sent the undercover officer to pick up the drug from Thanakorn near a PTT petrol station on the Nakhon Chaisi-Huay Plu Road in Tambon Don Faek.

Once the undercover agent saw the drug, Thanakorn was arrested while another police team arrested Atee and Chai at the KFC shop.
