Immigration Proof of Bank Balance Letter

Featured Replies

What's the correct, official name for the proof of bank balance letter that some of us on extensions of stay are required to produce yearly?

"เรียน  หัวหน้าด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมือง _____"

"เรื่อง รับรองยอดในบัญชีเสินผาก"

Do all bank branches issue these or only selected ones?

This is the header of my Bangkok Bank letter of 2016.

They have drastically changed the format compared to previous years, all in Thai language and no more "addressee"/"attention".

หนังสือรับรองยอดเงินฝาก

I can not tell whether all banks use the same wording.

The bank that manages your account should be able to issue this.

It's no magic, just another proof of your account and balance as of today.

My "home branch" of BB is in CM.  I am not in CM. I have been able to get this declaration from several branches in several locations.

Thanks all

Most banks compile and issue them from Head Office but they are printed stamped and signed at the local branch.

Not at CIMB, UOB or Kasikorn, I don't know about the other banks but I kinda doubt it, Immigration has probably insisted the banks take tighter control over the reporting of balances because of the potential from Immigration fraud. Did you not read the link I provided.

On the spot since 2012 at my Bangkok Bank branch.

Never any questions at Khon Khaen immigration.

Remember that the updated bank book has to accompany the letter.

Now the thread has moved away from the Thai language forum.

If more questions are open please continue in this fairly recent thread:

(and don't be confused that you see an older letter from me there)

From when I used to read everything I think that I remember that my bank used to call the letter หนังสือรับรองธานะทางการเงืน
