You will need a completed TM86 change of visa status form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached if on a 60 day entry from a tourist visa.

Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card. The fee is 2000 baht.

After the application you will be told to return 15 days later to get the visa and 90 day entry stamps.

Make a copy of your embassy income affidavit to submit with the conversion application and keep the original for when you do your application for the extension of stay. They should accept to copy (after seeing the original) for the conversion, but will want the original for the extension of stay.

If a small pension of 25,000 baht per month, how much money will be required in the Thai bank account.  approx.  ( retirement visa)   I am 75 years old,  and have a leased home.

I wish to change from 0 tourist visa as the Thai consulate at Hull, UK has stopped issuing the year visa, I travel every year to get this but now cannot..help please.    Hull could only give me a 60 day and said I will have to go to Udon immigration for a further 30 days.    What is going on  now,     Thought they wanted long stayers  and tourists in general.

If 65 or over and drawing a state pension you can still get a multiple entry non-o visa at the embassy in London.

The 25k baht a month pension is a annual income of 300k baht. You would need 500k baht in a Thai bank to reach the 800k baht total requirement.

Just to add, the Multiple entry 0 visa is fine but a border run every 90 days was taking 3 pages up in my passport  so my ten year passport is only lasting 4 years.   Why do the immigration have FULL page stickers, just ridiculous,   my opinion is Thailand does not gain money for these border runs, example  Laos 1,500 baht for a U turn 1 hour stay.   This day and age you would think they could do a half day in-out stamp for say 500 baht and small stamp in the passport.   But that would be to easy wouldn't it  lol
