ok ,  walk further up Sukhumvit another 300 meters on the same side ....  Retro hotel ...  recently completely refurbished ( was the old crown hotel - between soi 27&29 )

still on Sukhumvit and still in the main area of action and Terminal 21.  1200-1400baht

You will get both, convenience and price, and a pool at the Honey Hotel on Soi 19.       Ground floor rooms are B900, upper floors a little more.       Google them for contact details.       They are about 200m down Soi 19 from Sukhumvit.         Also note they will be closing the hotel in September.

Pinnacle Sukhumvit, situated soi 3 Sukhumvit almost opposite Nana  bars.  About 950 baht I would think.  I used to pay 700 baht 10 years ago.  Very convenient; can walk to most places.

Edit There are 2 Pinnacles. I am referring to Sukhumvit

Had 3 weeks there not a place I would recommend.

My advice is to move out a bit, Being central drove me mad. As soon as you are out of the front door you are in the middle of the madness.

I move back into a condo in Thonglor in July, its 5 minutes away from the BTS but a world away from the craziness.

Get somewhere a few minutes walk from a BTS that is outside of the central areas. Nothing like a few minutes peace and quiet before you hit the mayhem.

Not really, as I said I shall be moving to Thonglor where I lived previously. Plenty of hotels Sukhumvit 38 and further out.

I found being in a hotel central hard work. Having old girls/ladyboys/bargirls etc trying to grab hold of you and calling you a sexy man every few feet gets very boring very quickly.

Also the fumes from the traffic as soon as you leave a central hotel isn't to healthy. Anywhere close to the BTS away from central and things are looking up.

Thanks....I am talking about specific recommendations for central hotels in Sukhumwit, not general talk of moving to condos outside the center.

was trying to be nice.....but forget that, put on your specs and re-read what I wrote, "good idea...any specific places in mind... "  Obviously you don't have any and are just trolling, so why not go bother people on another thread.....this one is not about your problem regarding being called a "sexy man".

Oh sorry you are after being called a sexy man all the time. Well you can get that anywhere, but last piece of advice, they don't mean it.

I found a good deal 6 months ago with the Pullman Bangkok Grande. In Suk. Great location, near Soi Cowboy, walking distance to BTS, nice Gym and facilities.

Citrus on either soi 11 or soi 13 (i think) are cheap and cheerful but have everything you need. Good location too.

I always stay at the Citrus in Soi 13. Great value.

You're joking, right? Thailand is obviously not for you... If you want fleabag budget hotels as cheap as that, Thailand doesn't fit your market these days, unless you want a backpacker dorm. Why not stay at home and get a better job so that you can actually afford to stay in a decent hotel?  Bangkok nowadays is no place for cheap Charlies like you.

Search on Agoda by Sukhumvit Road. Plenty of choices in the 1000 THB range.

But they all suck. Rooms are like cells. Seriously, quality rooms in Bangkok around Sukhumvit are nowadays all 2000+. You'll only get a cell room a long way from the BTS or MRT if you want to pay 1000.

The guy wanted a hotel for 1000-1500 THB. I personally have stayed on Suk 22 at Regency Park Hotel for 900 THB. It's an older hotel but clean. I stayed there when it was new in the 80's and many times thereafter. I do not need bells and whistles, but it'sa  good, safe hotel for less than 1000 THB. Next week my wife and I are staying at Chateau de Bangkok behind All Seasons Place because of the flooding on Suk 22. Chateau is also an older property but well maintained 1900 THB p/n. A very good value for a huge suite.  I also concur Citrus Suk 11 very nice for 1300 THB and free mini bar including beer.

on a side soi between sukhumvit soi 41 and 43 (30 second walk from sukhumvit main rd), you have 41 suites and check inn phrom phong.  easy walk to phrom phong BTS and there is escalator access in front of the new emquartier across from emporium.  i've seen check inn offer 1,000/nt rates (they have little kitchenettes also), 41 suites is about 1,400/nt.  there is a tops market on sukhumvit in front of these two hotels.

on soi 20 you have thee hotel (thee, not a typo) and off a side soi of soi 20 (again just steps from sukhumvit main rd) you have drop inn.  thee is new, drop inn is about 10 yrs old so getting a little worn.  easy access to asoke BTS with escalator access inside the exchange tower building.  drop inn is 1,000/nt while thee is around 1,400/nt.

i don't think you get much breakfast in any of these places so you'll have to do that on your own.  there is a recent thread about best breakfast in bangkok so you can check that out for more info !!  i'm hungry just thinking about it.

Ah you will find the one who is different. She will really love you. Well until the money runs out. Try the rooms on the top floor. Less chance of surviving when you try to fly.

Sounds like you have serious mental issues, and possibly financial problems...sorry I can't help you with either, but good luck!

I'm not the one looking for a cheap hotel and thinking all the women think I'm a sexy man. Was you meaning to quote yourself rather than me ?

No you are the anti-social one with nothing useful to say/do, worried about running out of money and hijacking threads cause you have nothing to do out in suburbia......do run along now....there must be something else for you to do.....try taking a shower!
