Extension of non-immigrate O visa

Hi,

I am on a 3 months non-immigrate O visa and I will apply for a retirement extension soon. I need an additional month extension to my current visa, so I can have my 800K in the bank for a full three months. What the best way of obtaining month extension, going down to immigration and asking for one? What paper work do I need? I am married to a Thai, so is it better to apply for a two month extension via a spousal visa?

Appreciate any advice.

It appears this will be your first extension of stay which means the money only needs to be in the bank for 60 days not 3 months.

There is no 30 day extension for a non-o visa entry. Your only choice would be the 60 day extension to visit your wife.
