I need some steel wool to remove wallpaper glue, have tried hot soapy water and sponge but that won't shift it. I wasn't looking, but can't say I remember seeing it anywhere. Showed the missus what it looked like (online) and she's never seen it.

It's available at Lazada, many options if you want it shipped from abroad, but there is one seller in Thailand and it has been my experience that if there is one Thai seller then it is available in retail stores

Thanks. I'm going to try a couple of those roadside shops that sell everything first, if they don't have it I'll order from Lazada.

Usually use stainless steel scourers for things like that.

Not the expensive 'named' jobbies but made in China ones from the local '20  Baht Shop'.

Packets of 6 for 20 baht.

Lots of steel wire brushes available, with different grades of strength in all the big stores, and mum n pop diy.

Sent from my SM-G935F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Don't think a brush will do the job, but a scourer of some kind might. Will check the mom n' pop stores first.

Pretty sure they sell steel wool in the Japanese stuff shop inside Central Beach festival.

It on floor +2, on sea side.

Daiso next to Apple Store 3rd floor Central Festival. They sell it for certain for 60 baht a bag.  Buy the finer one to insure you don't scratch the material your cleaning.

Works great!

Yes, Daiso is the name of the shop I was talking about

And yes they have it; I checked this afternoon . 60 baht for 12.

In the back on main alley, on left side, at the extremity of the shelves with sponges and brushes.

I'm on the dark side so I'll try locally first, but thanks.

BigC do stainless steel scourers in packs. I use them for washing up but I would expect them to work for wallpaper. Several qualities and prices. The cheap ones dont last very long.

I have lived in Thailand on and off for 13 years.  Daiso is the only shop I have ever found steel wool.  Big difference from Big C steel sponges used to clean your pots and pans.

Steel wool I use professionally as I own a Auto Body And Detail shop in the US. Daiso has real steel wool but one must buy the finer grade as it is used to clean rust and pitting on chrome and stainless metals.  Remove paint overspray from glass.

If not sure which grade since it's typically 00,000 or 0000. They don't write the grade Infind the safest is the pack with 9 pieces not 12.  More is not better.  finer grade will insure you cannot damage the material your cleaning.

Just a heads up. Bought a small packet (more like a log) of steel wool from a local mom n' pop store for 10 baht. Readily available from that kind of store.
