May 26, 20179 yr 10K Bail? That's about the lowest I have ever seen. I mean the Russian woman had to cough up 100K bail for feeding fish! It's a million Baht for half a gram of ice, but being involved with expensive car dishonesty only costs ten grand. Am I alone in thinking that The Thai Judicial system needs a review of the pricing they set for bail?
May 27, 20179 yr 10,000 Baht is ridiculous, no argument here. Bet the guy is up to his eyeballs in other misdeeds as well. But on the other hand, I feel stupid giving any of my hard-earned money to this government. I lived in Finland for a while, and most people felt OK paying taxes. Maybe grumble that they're too high, but they generally agreed the money was spent well for the most part. Here? It almost makes me want to stop drinking alcohol, knowing most of it gets squandered if not outright stolen. The import taxes on cars are so high it's akin to legalized theft. Of all things that are wrong in Thailand, people evading ridiculously high taxes is something I don't get worked up about. If I lived in Sicily, I also wouldn't grumble about shopkeepers evading payment of protection money to the maffia. Edited May 27, 20179 yr by ChidlomDweller

May 27, 20179 yr 10,000 baht or about 285 USD. Might be a very small fee if he pushed the darn car out of the police impound lot! Paid a few bribes and off he goes with his yellow canary showoff car
