UK election parties anywhere in BKK?

I will be in Bangkok on Sunday, I wish there were members of the UK Labour Party there so I could go and heckle them and tell them what dirty lying hypocrites they are, and that they are bigger lying hypocrites than all the UK political parties put together.:coffee1:

Any venues with UK TV open on Friday AM for the count?

Why not just buy some beer & pretzels and turn on the BBC at home? Watching poll results trickle in isn't exactly on a par with the World Cup ...

Something tells me this thread is about to veer off course.

Yes your right, but sometimes all one is doing is referring to the post, and it just ends up going off topic.

My apologies for that.

Well that's a good choice, Bliar or Corbyn. One an IRA sympathizer and Marxist, the other a lying warmonger and champagne socialist. You could add Brown to the equation, to give the others a chance, what a total disaster he was.

I will be watching the results come in with some snacks and a few beers though.

Oh, I like your so nice words. I'd say sometimes it's better if you keep your mouth shut. What you blame Thailand for - not having a democracy - you blame yourself??? There are free election ( and I hope Corbyn will get a lot of votes) May is just a risk for UK, A fatal error. Shut down and restart.

As one audience member asked the Labour leader on Friday:

"Isn't this just a letter to Santa?"

Dianne Abbott must have done the math on these manifesto pie in the sky promises.

It would leave the voters great grand children still having to pay for it.

Corbyn was a Eurosceptic and a Marxist outcast for 30 years on the back benches, now he's a give away everything to get into power maniac.

We will see on Friday.

Who is blaming Thailand for anything, This post is about the UK, you would have been better keeping you mouth shut and be a bit less nasty, I do believe that May is a risk to the UK.

Labour are traitors to the working class, and I repeat, bigger hypocrites and liars than all the other UK  political parties put together, and any working class person that does not see that are seriously deluded, I give you Blair and Brown, both responsible for serious genocide.

I believe the OP was about where the count could be viewed in Bangkok. I prefer waking up the next morning to a fait accompli, it's better for my blood pressure. Sounds like yours is ratcheting up.

BTW, I'm an Aussie. We hold our politicians in even more contempt than you Brits do.

May is a evil bitch who I hope is going to be kicked out!  Blair was and is far worse than From what I heard from someone who knows him well he is a very fair man  and not a weak one!

I wonder just who you heard that from? Or did you read it in the Socialist Worker or the Morning Star?

A fair and not weak Marxist could be a description of a Russian Marxist leader that murdered millions in the 30s, and  left his country wide open to German aggression.

Not sure how May can be described as "evil", but she calls herself difficult, which is what the UK needs for the EU negotiations. Anyone who thinks these talks with the EU will be easy is crazy. The eastern Europeans can only see the big hole in the EU hand outs on the horizon, the French farmers are the same. The Greeks, Spanish and Italians know the Germans will not continue to bail them out of the mess the Euro has caused.

Anyone with an ounce of reality can see the EU has lost the plot.

A single vote for the total wimp Corbyn and his Marxist band (plus the idiot Abbott) is a recipe for complete disaster. This man, despised by most of his parliamentary colleagues, wants to disarm the UK, and succor the voters from the remoaners to get into a minority government with the divisive SNP and destroy the UK and its economy!

Wise up!

Friday we will see if the voters get it wrong... :hit-the-fan:

Why do people see it as a vote between May or Corbyn?. Much prefer to vote on whether the MP representing my constituency is doing a good job for the area. Too many decent people get voted out because people just vote on this issue.

Tends to happen in by-elections not general elections, as there is usually a bigger issue at stake.

The 1st past the post system is not a good one and the UK had a vote on that a few years ago. Trouble was the alternatives we were given by way of forms of PR (proportional representation) were no better. Many European countries have a form of PR but they constantly have hung parliaments and ineffective coalition governments.

Blair was a Tory in a red coat. Corbyn is a throw back to what the Labour party used to be.

Trouble is Labour voters don't want a traditional  Labour PM anymore. They want a Tory but not one who ends up acting like a Tory.

No I doesn't make sense, but that's the Labour voter for you.

It will be on the news soon enough.

Wait and see what happens.

Personally I am hoping for a hung Parliament and a following drop in the Pound/Baht exchange rate..

But we shall soon see

I really can't see a hung parliament doing either the pound any good or the UK.

With the prospect of a Lab/SNP coalition getting in with a hung vote, you are considering the scenario of taking on the EU in a few days with Dianne Idiot Abbott dealing with the Irish boarder and the plight of UK citizens living in the EU question, plus a couple of Marxists in charge of negotiations.

Labour manifesto is borrow and spend, SNP is '"single market or independence."

If the pound takes a big dive I will have to leave Thailand.

My investments all dividend in Stirling, and I will not spend capital.

We will see, but it will be mid morning Thai time before we have a result.

I hope for a Tory majority of 75+ (enough to cut out the SNP, Lib-Dems and independents), thus pushing Stirling higher.

About 30 minutes 'till the poll ends...

:burp:

I also heard that from a heavily tattooed Cockney guy in a bar at Soi Cowboy who used to be a general in the SAS. Must be true, because I reckon a general in the SAS would have a stronger character than to lie!!!

An interesting comment. I have had the fortune to meet some genuine SAS men, who never brag about what they have done, and the misfortune to meet several bogus ones too.

People are not always what they say they are in a bar.

I lived in London for years and I lost count of all the "lads" who claimed to have been mates of the Kray twins.

Pinch of salt required?

@mike44 Where the party at bro? Opening/closing times, what type of music they play, dress code & rough drink prices would be good too :)

Recent news has been the Po-Po has been enforcing midnight closing at a lot of bars/clubs so don't know if you will be able to party until the AM on a Friday.

"terrorist group you are now laying in bed with".

How do I answer this one? You actually think I support these Muslim terrorists? :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

What has this got to do with my hatred of the Labour Party anyway.
