What is now required for a  non immigrant"O" visa at Savannaketh pls advise

or for that matter  requirement for a  tourist visa  to Thailand 30 days Savannaketh

Or fly in- out to Phnom Phen from Thailand?

This is what I am aware of is needed for "O" based on marriage:

1 x application form with 2 recent photos attached
1 x copy passport, signed by me
1 x copy wife ID card signed by wife
1 x copy wife house book, her entries, signed by wife
1 x copy original Kor Ror 2, both sides, signed by wife and me
1 x copy updated Kor Ror2, both sides, signed by wife and me
1 x copy fancy marriage certificate, both sides, signed by wife and me.

Also they want to see the original fancy marriage certificate, and the cost is THB 5000 for multiple entry.

The limit of 2 visa exempt entries at land border crossings per calendar went into effect on January 1st of this year. Perhaps you read something that was in the news in August of 2014.

Savannakhet is issuing visas not sure where you read that false info.

A "AGENT", travel agency told me so, they arranging  visa run tours to  Savannaketh/ Arun Po Pet

I am not aware of any company making runs to the Thai consulate in Savannakhet.

Aran?Poi Pet is only a border crossing to Cambodia. There is no embassy or consulate there. You have to go the embassy in Phnom Penh.

Maybe he is thinking of Vegas Casino .You stay at their hotel in Savannakhet and they do the run to the Thai Consulate .

>> Kor Ror 2, both sides, signed by wife and me <<

That not required ,but better to bring just in case .

They have not offered that service for about 3 years now. The consulate stopped allowing them to do it.

The casino used to to give packages for a stay and visa assistance, not sure if they do anymore.  Although its easy enough on your own.

Easy enough for you and me,

what to bring with me  and  what to show when applying for a single  entry  tourist visa?

For a single entry tourist visa, UbonJoe might know better.  I posted what I knew for an "O" multi based on marriage.  Sorry.

I'm just back from the consulate Savannakhet. My application with outbound flight ticket, bank statement from a Thai bank and condo rental contract got accepted. Pickup passport tomorrow. Very quiet. Only maybe 2 dozens people at 9am. But the officer watched every paper carefully. That was for a Setv.

Feel free to ask questions if you need more information.

3 hours ago, my friend I said:

Says on the back of the form no agents.

A sign outside  of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientienne  says: Beware of  Agents  doing visa applications on behalf of ... poeple

Quote; there is no such thing as  anybody can apply for a visa( for me)  accept that the person is incapable to  do it for himself ( in prison or in Hospital or is illicit) and  somebody has an affidavit  from me

I have done it "both" ways.  Living in Chaingmai we have flown to Udon and taken a car across Friendship Bridge.  However, my preferred method is flying from Bangkok to Savannkhet Airport on Laos Airline.

I THINK there are plenty of "bus" options as well.

Going from Bangkok, I either take the overnight VIP bus or fly-ride service to Mukdahan on the way out, and take the fly-ride service returning. The fly-ride journey avoids a long bus journey, but, outbound, the bus schedule is ideal for arriving early morning in Savannakhet for the visa application. Fly-ride on the way to Savannakhet means an extra night (in Savannakhet or Mukdahan) because you cannot arrive early enough for the visa application.

If traveling from other parts of Thailand, the optimum solution might be different.
