Apply ed visa 6months passport expiry

I am planning to apply for ed visa with private language school in bangkok now im with bilateral 90 days visa exemption until early august. And my passport expire on 31/12/2017.

Right now i can not renew my passport since i havent get approval from my government.

(I havent served my military duty and my government will not issue my passport without a proper reason)

Due to 6 months require i can not enter thailand from 1/jul/2017 with my current passport.

I am planning to go to poipet next week to get another 90days stamp on my passport for the last time.

 

I am preparing documents to get approval from my government now.

Need another 2 months for documents to prepare. Need 1 month to get approval.

And minimum 2 weeks to 4 weeks to get my new renewed passport.

 

1. Can i get ed visa within the country on july while my passport not valid more than 6 months?

 

2. If i go vientiane now to get my ed visa. Can i extend with my passport less than 6 month validity??

 

3. Any best idea for stay as long as my passport expiration date?

1. Immigration does not issue non-ed visas. They will do a conversion to a non immigrant visa entry but not for those attending language schools.

2. If you go to Vientiane to obtain a single entry non-ed visa you would be able to get 90 day extensions with less than 6 months passport validity.

I am not sure you will be able to enroll in a school and obtain the required documents to get the non-ed visa prior to July 1st when you will be under 6 months of passport validity.

Those from some countries can enter Thailand with less than 6 months passport validity and only need one valid for their allow period of stay. Check here to find out if you can enter with less than 6 months validity. https://skyteam.traveldoc.aero/
