'Made in China' delivery to Thailand

Featured Replies

I'm a bit cautious about using this site (http://www.made-in-china.com/) - I need some custom USBs delivered to Thailand, but having to go through the independent suppliers who advertise on the site seems a little dodgy, especially when having to arrange direct payment. It's annoying as there are some good prices to be had....

Anyone have any experience ordering through this site?

Cheers

As I recall, Made-In-China.com is a B-B portal and simply introduces a company's products to the market.  Unlike EBay, Amazon, Lazada or AliExpress, they don't really take any part or responsibility other than making it possible for buyers to find suppliers for products they want.

In which case, every vendor on there is independent and can handle their orders any way they choose.  You're wise to be wary.  For every legitimate factory, there's probably 10 trading companies, many of whom just have a computer in their 25th floor apartment.  (I know because I've visited some when I lived in China)  They can cheat you mercilessly and simply change their online ID if their feedback eventually rats them out.

Do your diligence on the company itself, not on Made-In-China.com.  I've actually had pretty good luck with Alibaba.com, which is the same kind of deal.  But I have a few years of dealing with Chinese companies, and some red flags that I use to stop about 3/4 to 7/8 of the transactions somewhere in the process between the quote and the payment.

On the other hand, there are good Chinese companies, too.  But the odds aren't in your favor...

Thanks for the reply. They have an 'audited supplier' rating for some, but even this doesn't seem much of a safeguard. Probably best bite the bullet and pay a bit more through eBay.

I'm actually a bit concerned that some of these suppliers have my email now...... I got one message asking for my bank details before I even confirmed an address!

You can buy China stuff on Lazada. The shipping time estimate will tell you if the seller is located in Thailand or in China.

May I ask what is "custom USBs"?

see if you can find the items you need and purchase in person.
