Came back to the States with intentions of staying after spending seven years in Thailand. Did not get a re-entry visa. Now, I am returning to Thailand and would like to retain my retirement visa. Is there any way I can do this without starting all over again? Can you help? Thanks, Bill

Aooly for a 1 year retirement in Wash, DC before returning! It will be easier for you!

The simple answer is No !  Without a reentry permit your extension of stay is now history.

 

You would not have needed a re-entry permit if you had a valid Visa! 

There is nothing you can do other than starting over again.

You could get a OA long stay visa form the embassy in DC or one of the official consulates in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles.
