Murder hunt after partially-naked body of waitress found in her apartment
By The Nation

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: -- Police have launched a murder investigation after the partially naked body of a waitress was found in her apartment on Wednesday morning in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Pranburi district.

Sriprapha Kosin, 25, from Hua Hin district, was found with here hands and legs tied, police say. Her throat had been cut and her face was bruised.

Friends went to check on Sriprapha after she did not show up for work at a restaurant for a few days. They called police when they found the apartment had been locked from the outside but the room’s ceiling light was on.

Police said the woman apparently died two days before she was found.

Tenants of the rented rooms said they saw Sriprapha riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by a man on their way to her room on Sunday afternoon. When the man left they did not see his face as he was wearing a medical mask.

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: -- Police in Pranburi have interviewed an ex boyfriend after a 25 year old waitress at a well known Isaan restaurant in the town was found with her neck slashed in a rented room.

Siprapha Kosin, 25, was found yesterday with a gash made by a ten centimeter knife. Police were alerted by work colleagues after she failed to turn up for duty.

Thai Rath TV reported that the waitress was an attractive and well liked woman who had broken up with her boyfriend a month ago. She had been out with co-workers before returning home on Sunday.

Police are convinced the assailant was well known to the victim as he appeared to have let himself in and out. The door was locked when her colleagues came looking.

In addition as they waited for police a man came and stole her motorcycle and raced off. Also missing from her room were two one baht weight gold necklaces and a gold bracelet.

Police went to gold shops in the area then interviewed the victim's ex boyfriend. Another man who is a relative of the boyfriend is expected to be interviewed today or tomorrow and is thought to be involved.

No charges have yet been made as the investigation continues.

Yeah! I guess that the penalty for this one must be much more harsh as she was so attractive. What a dumb way to describe an illegal act. This just calls for the question if the murder would be less significant if the victim had benn ugly?

As for the dork that did this, it´s probably just another thai man with big ego-problems.

Boy, what a stupid comment.  Nowhere in the article does it imply that the penalty should be more harsh because the victim was attractive.  But if you took your head out of your rear for a second, you would know that ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, the public would be more interested/sympathetic/outraged if the victim was an attractive young female.  That's just human nature.

Wow! Great reaction! To use it as an excuse for a headline implies that in some kind of way. If you now leave you head still stuck, then you will not find out that I can´t care less about if all the world does it. I did never deny that or imply that it was not the case. Chin up! Have a nice day!

The article reported what her friends and colleagues said about her.  What the freak is wrong with that?

Wrong? Yeah, I give you 3!

  • The irrelevans to the murder
  • The only goal is to catch a readers attention. I murder would be interesting news anyway
  • The obvious road that builds the next headline. "Butt ugly girl murdered by picture perfect boyfriend"

Love or robbery possible motive in waitress’ murder
By The Nation

PRACHAP KHIRI KHAN: -- Police are mulling suspects and motives in the murder of a Prachuap Khiri Khan restaurant waitress.

The partially naked body of Sriprapha Kosin, 25, was discovered in her apartment in Pranburi district on Wednesday.

Pol Maj General Prasert Siripannapirat, the province’s acting police chief, said on Thursday the murder might have stemmed from a personal relationship gone wrong, noting that Sriprapha was “attractive” and had many admirers.

He added, though, that robbery had not been ruled out as a motive because the victim’s gold necklace, gold bracelet, mobile phone and motorcycle were missing.

Police have issued a summons for a man who was her boyfriend until about a month ago and had been seen visiting her at her restaurant more recently, Prasert said.

One of the victim’s relatives is also regarded as a person of interest, he said.

CCTV surveillance footage between the victim’s home and workplace is being examined and the results of an autopsy are awaited to determine whether she’d been raped.

Neighbouring tenants told police they’d seen Sriprapha on Sunday afternoon arriving home on the back of a motorcycle driven by a man. They could not see his face because he was wearing a medical mask.

Maybe it was the boyfriend, the investigation will perhaps say?

Or perhaps it was another admirer, who had the key to the appartment, either Thai or farang, as she was attractive and had many admirers?

Once again only the investigation could yield truth (and not the usual baiting off-topic contradictors of TV forums)

In the meantime, before some dirty arguments arise, RIP to the poor girl and deepest sympathy to her family.
