Custom built BBQ

Featured Replies

Does anybody know where i can have a custom made bbq smoker built in Bangkok or surrounding areas?

Either a cheap one made out of oil barrels or something a bit more sturdy and longer lasting.

any help appreciated as i keep hitting dead ends.

Thanks,

Mr Komodo

did you try JJ market?

if that fails, I would go speak to the metalworkers that line certain streets.

I've tried JJ but nothing there and so far any of the metal workers i've spoken with have been unable to make it for one reason or another.

There's a guy in or around Korat, I think, that make BBQs, mostly from stainless. You could call him.

He has a website called quik hyphen fire dot com. Convert that to a normal www address to get to his website.

If that gets deleted by the mods, search quik fire or stainless BBQ's on this website. There's a lot written about his stuff.

I don't know where you live but I used to take a motorcycle taxi from Huay Kwang MRT to University Thai Chamber of Commerce. Just before reaching the university there is a small workshop on the left hand side of the road. I often saw various BBQs made of oil barrels lined up outside.

If you have plans (easily found on the internet) hit up the areas where there's a concentration of steel gate and railing shops. If you have no plans or photographs, you'll probably hit dead ends.

Have you thought about building a brick smoker? Loads cheaper, mostly DIY and again, plenty plans on the internet.
