DPM discloses 3 step process in temple graft investigation

BANGKOK, 10th July 2017 (NNT) – A Deputy Prime Minister has spoken of a three step process being implememted, to probe alleged corruption among temples.

Following a call from Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha for relevant deputy prime ministers and ministers to step up an investigation into allegations of corruption among temples under the National Office of Buddhism for the sake of public peace of mind, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Kreau-ngam has revealed a three step process has been devised between him, Prime Minister’s Office Minister Omsin Cheewapruek and National Office of Buddhism Director, Pol Lt Col Pongporn Phramsaneh.

The three steps begin with identifying the parties involved, followed by the implementation of more vetting procedures for temple expenditure and ending with the amendment of relevant laws. No time frame has been set for the process to be completed.

Pol Lt Col Pongporn said today a committee looking into 12 temples suspected of graft has been given 60 days to wrap up the probe after which another body will be established to vet all temple funding nation wide.

He indicated that authorities are also looking into religious schools which may have misreported their student numbers to garner more funds from the state.

Police looking into the temple corruption matter have voiced confidence they will soon be able to hand their findings to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Three steps.

Firsr step found nothing untoward.

Second step found nothing untoward.

Third step found nothing untoward.

Wissanu can say with certainty there is nothing untoward about temple finances.

Oooh! Did they form a committee to come up with these three steps?

1. Find out who's corrupt.

2. Collect money and tell them to cover their tracks better.

3. Nothing to see here. It's all just a big misunderstanding. The money was simply resting in this person's account.

Now they'll have to form another committee and 3 step plan for the corrupt ones they don't like.

They stole Buddhism from India. Then perverted it to suit Thai style.!

Step No1....Make sure everyone knows you are coming so they have plenty of time to abscond.

Step No2....Take 20 years to carry out the investigation.

Step No3....Declare that nothing was ever wrong in the first place !
