zlodnick
I have a True aircard for my laptop and it's worked great for 2 1/2 years. YouTube, skype, everything. My laptop has been running very slow lately and I can't watch videos at all. Just for kicks, I went to a place that has wi fi, and everything worked fine. So, it seems the laptop is ok, could the aircard be wearing out?
RichCor
Make sure your AirCard supports the current TrueMove frequencies: 3G UMTS : 2100 (Band 1), 850 (Band 5) 4G LTE : 2100 (Band 1) 900 (Band 8) , 1800 (Band 3) Are you sure the internet account still has data units available? On many Data Internet subscription packages, once the allocated amount is used up then the the connection drops to FUP (Fair Use Policy) speeds of 512 Kbit/s, 384 Kbit/s, or 64 Kbits/s depending on subscription agreement. Gary A
My True air card and Internet got very slow, then stopped altogether. True blamed the problem on my air card and told me I had to buy a 4G air card. I bought the 4G air card and that didn't work either. Both the old card and the new 4G air cards worked fine with AIS. My True SIM cards went in the trash. AIS may not be perfect but at least it worked. I now have TOT fiber.
JamJar
To which package are you subscribed and which Aircard are you utilising?
zlodnick
Thanks for the replies, I have the cheapest package they have, 399 bt a month. For over 2 years it's worked great. Even after I've used up all the data, there wasn't any difference, still worked great. This year someone installed internet cable past our house, (not sure what company), so I'll look into that. It seems the questions were too difficult. Anyway, good luck with terrestrial Internet connection.
