Land Prices

Featured Replies

Dear Forum

Can anybody please quote current land prices in the Issan region, either agricultural, or development. In particular Meung Khon Kaen.

Kind regards

My wife sez..

Far out away from the village or town no water maybe 30,000 baht per rai

If close in or maybe have water then 60,000 baht per rai

Raw Issan land in the middle of nowhere with no power, no water, etc. I've seen SELL for as low as 16K per rai.

If you don't find someone in a bind expect to pay way more than the land is really worth IMHO. For some reason the only thing I've found in Thailand that is WAY OVERPRICED IMO is land. Don't know why; just the way it is.

I have found this also and try to relate it back to home prices, while still cheaper here, you have to think it is expensive when you factor in services here, living conditions, problems, third world and so on.

I am not current on prices back home now, but you could buy land in good areas for cheaper than being asked here.

Is it possibly because Thailand is small in land mass with a large population. Whereas back home it is exactly the opposite, therefore less to go around, greater demand and demand and availability pushes the price up anywhere.
