Not new but clean and quiet is the Grand Residence near Safe One Market off highway 2

Kantary hotel

Id be amazed if the Dusit can be beaten, and not so expensive.

The Romyen Garden near Klang Plaza is a great place in the centre of town.

 

Currently a standard double room is 990 THB.

40 years ago in Bangkok, I could get a queen bed with a girl near some of the Thai ministry buildings for 90 Baht.  That was only for an hour, but who wants to hang around a hotel room all day?

I lived in Isaan 40 years ago.  Someone I know might have seen me up there.  Sorry about the thread derail.  I am new here and forget that attempts at humor are seemingly frowned upon.

You were just there, like the folks on motorcycles who got squashed by the big trucks.  :)

 

My wife does have some people coming in in the next year or two who could use a good, clean & reliable hotel.  Not necessarily Korat, but all advice is welcome.

Thats as new as it gets in Korat eh?  Brand spanking new.  Good restaurants in there too.

If i was needing a hotel again in Korat, i would probably choose the Dusit Princess again. Stayed there a couple of times several years ago while house hunting. 

The brand new Kantary Hotel seems a quality place. Not stayed there, but have ate there.

Klang Plaza has a great supermarket too !
