Thai police set to get tooled up just like American cops as 12,000 guns arrive

A little first hand infomation these were supposedly to be delivered about 3 years ago at that time 45,000 were paid for, after 2 years of waiting and excuses we requested our money and were reinbursed naturally no interest was accompanying it and I would say a lot of others done the same I would say that someone made a hefty profit out of the deal even if only the interest payable I mean 45.000 handguns at $1000 a piece

Funny...the SIG SAUER is a SwissMade firearms Co.....why did Thailand purchase it from the US entity of SIG?....surely for a good reason?

 

Weapon of choice of US law enforcement as they claim?....Really????!!!...the LAPD goes for Beretta's (not such a good choice) or Glocks..same for the NYPD with the choice of Sig and Glock but the Glock is more popular....the FBI also issues  Glocks as the standard issue duty firearm...

 

Glock firearms dominate not only the US law enforcement but also many law enforcements units worldwide...at a cheaper cost!!...so it is very surprising to read that the SIG is the "weapon of choice" of US Law Enforcement!!

 

So as the Thai Police Office must pay his gear from his pocket as it is said, one could expect a hefty increase in farang road stops and obscure fines to finance these new toys...

How about buy a few harly davidsons and do road patroll. Now that would not only look good but it would do good.

And these are going to make better policing? The USA has quite a different crime profile than Thailand (no, I'm not an expert) and I think what a US cop has to deal with surely is far more complicated that what goes on in Thailand.

Pretty sure that Sig has a US factory/distributor.

There's still a few in the USA that serve and protect, though not many.

I would think it's fairly obvious what will happen -  how much you give me. 

Guess it would be too intelligent to instigate an exchange system, the new weapon is handed over after you hand in your current weapon and fair payment made and credited.
