BANGKOK, 28 July 2017 (NNT) – The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has received a "Chaiyo" elephant mascot in bid to promote sports reforms.

Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, along with Yuthasak Sasiprapha, chief of a reform commission on sports, art, culture, religion, and morality, witnessed the reception of the Chaiyo elephant mascot for the promotion of sports reforms.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the reform commission have been working together to integrate the study of religion and history as well as the pride of Thai heritage to promote the strength of the society.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is yet to promote the Sports for All 4.0 policy encouraging exercise among people of all ages and genders, in compliance with the Prime Minister's initiation to see Thai people exercise more often.
