Govt announces compensation for flood-hit families, kin of those killed

BANGKOK: -- The government will pay Bt5,000 compensation to each family in flood-hit areas.

The inundation has so far raged through 12 provinces, nine of them in the Northeast and the rest in the Central region. 

 

PM’s Office Minister Ormsin Chivapruck said on Monday that the families of those killed in the flooding would each receive compensation of Bt50,000. 

 

Eleven deaths have been reported to date.

Any chance of the junta cancel or delay the purchases of the submarines, tanks and aircraft so more can be paid to affected families. Nah, doubt it. It is only Issan after all.
