ray richards
Does anyone know the answer to this query. Ive got a cousin that wants to come to l.o.s.for a long stay of 4 months, he gets paid state pension and a disability payment due to a severe illness + a small amount of pension credit top up. does he have to notify the u.k pension etc etc department what is plan for the long stay is? if so will they stop the payment to the last 2 items ? and if that is so will he have to start fresh claims all over again when he arrives back in the u.k??? Thank you.
Lamkyong
whilst i do not know the exact cut off points for these benefits/pensions but there are rules in place best to check on the gov org site just be very careful who you inform for instance if he is in receipt of mobility allowance this cannot be reinstated after a certain age give it up you loose it i suggest for a short period of time ie 4 months keep quiet
