I've had a quick look in the Forum Support section and in the IT section and I can't see any information regarding the disappearance of posters' avatars.
Is this more censorship?

Well I can view some members' avatars e.g. my own which is of course Johnny Rotten.
Also I can see yours Jai Dee.

However lots are just a coloured background with a letter in the centre.
Can't be just me that sees this ?

Trying to attach an example but the attachment thingy has disappeared.

Believe most have returned - but after upgrade (or whatever it was) most were gone and replaced with first letter of their sign on name.

The posters avatars you can't see is because they don't have one.

The members that just have an avatar with coloured background containing a capital letter are simply members who have not set their own avatar.

With this current release of the software an avatar is automatically created for them using the first letter of their member name.

Every attachment I have made since upgrade has resulted in double image as above - know this is not right forum but cluttered up other yesterday and just happened above.  I did not post it twice or click twice - just a copy and paste.

That's a strange one Lop... since the upgrade I've had no problems with attachments, certainly not duplicates.

 

 

Although I must say that the "Insert into post" icon is not very visible...

 

Currently I have no sight of the " drag files /choose files" option also the "emoticons" are gone.
As the site is under repair.........fair enuff.

Drag file/choose files should be at the bottom of your reply window:

I don't appear to have the 'drag file' facility, mine says "click to chose files" I am not bothered btw, just thought I'd mention it.

Suspect that is my undoing - have been placing directly onto the post (which is how I have always done it).

The Avatars are indeed letters when no ones as set an avatar. Thats all.

Guess the first posters back were mostly those without avatars as almost all posts first day seemed to be letters.  Guess absense stands out more with the large color letter than before.

The ones that looked like this before are now letters.

Mine was removed due to a profane word. It's likely some twit didn't like my post and dubbed me in. I was given a warning....instead of just asking me to remove it.

I didn't know the rules, but it seems you can use profanity in your writings, right?
