August 10, 20178 yr I got an 18" Crown fan recently and was a bit nervous since I haven't seen that brand before. On setting 1 it blows more air than my 18" Harari on setting 3 though, it's damn impressive. Are there other brands besides crown that have a good amount of airflow. I'm thinking of buying yet another fan soon.
August 10, 20178 yr What about noise though what kind of clatter you getting with your crown? How long Is the electrical lead? Length is important Ease of cleaning? Easy opener? What about the buttons on speed selections? Easy or stiff? How fast can it dry your hair on button 2? Any images of your new addition?
August 10, 20178 yr Author Haven't had it long enough to answer the more involved questions. Noise is proportionately louder mainly due to airflow. Buttons work fine, cable length I would say is about normal. Buttons are easy to press.
August 11, 20178 yr I forget the brandname but in Malaysia our room had a really totally silent fan...i mean the swingmechanism didn't make ANY sound which impressed me. Hatari's all make noise, mitsubishi's are better but still make noise. Maybe it was Crown but the brand i m talking about was sure made in Malaysia and used a lot there.
August 11, 20178 yr and what about these new strange fans without anything moving (empty hole in the middle) ?
August 11, 20178 yr Just now, bberrythailand said: and what about these new strange fans without anything moving (empty hole in the middle) ? What's it called a blow job fan?
August 12, 20178 yr Author I saw those on the top floor of Central Dept store in Pattaya. Extremely expensive compared to a blade fan but also amazing to ponder over how it worked: Air flow was less than a regular fan I think. They are not as big though EDIT: Looks like they have blades, just hidden in the stem: Although it is called a "bladeless" fan, the Dyson Air Multiplier does indeed have blades within; they're just hidden inside the pedestal stand. This is the section of thefan that draws in up to 5.28 gallons of air per second, as much as a vacuum cleaner! So the whole circular design is just to throw you off and make it look magical.
