What happens when you submit paperwork at CM immigration. I. E . the steps.

Like submit paperwork, do i get it that day ? Need a visit from immigration to get it ? Confused.

The more information the better.

After you apply and they accept the application you will get a under consideration stamp with a report back date on 30 days from that day. Then you go back on that date to get your one year extension stamp after the application is approved by immigration division 5 headquarters in CM.

If it is your first extension they may do a home visit during the 30 days.

No additional paperwork is needed. Not sure if CM wants witnesses or not.

If i get a single entry marriage visa and then an 1 yr extension , is there a way to be able to leave the country on a trip and keep the extension valid?

You will need to get a re-entry permit to keep your extension valid. The fee for a single re-entry permit is 1000 baht and a multiple is 3800 baht.

You apply for it at immigration. You can get one on the day you go back to immigration to get the one year extension stamp.

You complete a TM8 form. You will need a copy of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp, exension stamp and TM6 departure card.

Belt the other option which is not savory .is pay a service say 30 to 33000 baht to get documentation showing that you have the required amount. And then they will get you the Visa. That's what my friend did he went to a Visa service here in Chiang Mai paid 33000 and they got him a retirement Visa and the one-year extension

No, it doesn't mean that you have to have 30 days left on your permission to stay, you can apply up to the last day (in your case September 7th). It just means that you won't get your new extension there and then, but will have to come back 30 days later. You are allowed to stay in Thailand until you get your new extension is given (or, unlikely, the extension is denied), even if that is later than your current permission to stay date.

The under consideration allows you stay in the country until your extension is approved. You don't have to have 30 day remaining on your entry when you apply.

You can apply on the the 5th or 6th of September without a problem.

I was quoted between 8900 and 10000 Baht for the service, seems quite high.I would like to go with an agency just because my time window is so small,(money in bank since 5.july,visa finishes on 7.sept)are there any cheaper options?

If you need more time you can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then apply for the one year extension during the last 30 days of it.

You can apply on the 5th of September and if you are short on some paperwork then go back on the 6th.
