Kebab Wars - two well known Pattaya shops end up at the police station in dispute

Two well known sellers of chicken kebabs in Bang Lamung will today settle their differences after a dispute at the weekend.

Both shops have long queues and even have their own fan pages.

So news of their dispute reached many people online and got Sanook reporters to go and find out more.

Apparently a rock had been thrown by an employee of one shop at the window of the other smashing it. Thongchai, 42, said the attack happened Sundaymorning at 3am after he had had a long day selling kebabs.

There were suggestions it was over a business conflict perhaps moving in on someone else's territory.

But rival kebab shop owner Cholanupha, 42, said she had not ordered her employee to cause damage. It was his own problem with someone at the other shop, she said, and not business related.

Now the two shops are set to meet with police to resolve the matter.

The Pattaya kebab war is shawarming up.

What I would give for a good lamb kebab, never found one in Thailand.

Lucky this has not reached more than kebab shops. Imagine it could be a full blown war if all the Thai restaurants get the smell of this kind of effective warfare. :cheesy:

Or between falang run bars.

Bar Wars could make for a good sitcom about crazy falangs in LOS.

Kebab shops fighting for customers....i wished we had that problem in BKK....:partytime2:

And i also wished the Thai learned how to make doner kebab from veil....at least not from chickens.

I hope we can settle this kebab War before we Bomb North Korea!

So many farang owned bars in Pattaya but not one of them can open a good kebab or shawarma shop?

Yes, that's the real thing.

Chicken kebab or shoarma is not so nice, and the pork variety is awful.

There is one inside a Soi on the left side as you enter Jomtien beach street from main second road just before the arch across from Jomtien beach walking street sign, I believer she opens after 4 pm till midnight.

I want a delicious kebab bursting with copious amounts of premium imported lamb. Throw in a free coca cola too.

But! Be forewarned. If you charge more than 80 baht I will accuse you of being a price gouging rip off joint.

Pita they just couldn't work it out amiably. :sorry:

Kebab Wars sounds like another stupid reality TV show - probably comes on right after Cupcake Wars (lost somewhere deep in the 3-digit cable TV channels).
