Pardon me, but I read somewhere when extending a visa based on marriage, the 60 day extension is granted from the day it's approved and not from the last day of the permission to stay. This surely can't be true?

Also when is the earliest I can go to do 60 extension?

The extension will start from the date your current permit to stay ends like all others do.

You could apply a couple of weeks early without a problem.

Your not extending the Visa, your extended the 90 days permission to stay for another 60 days.

If you use the Non Imm correctly, you could stay for almost 17 months with only 3 border crossing, until you need to obtain another Visa.

I have a single entry. The best I can do is 5 months.

Day 91 will be day 1 of the 60 regardless of how early you apply.

How early you can apply would be down to the office you apply at. There are no set rules, but they want usually take applications too early without good reason.
