And you "dodge', as always, my point that if he is considered a 'traitor' then why the position at the Washington College and sub-naming  +++ even 'Dukes of Hazard' car!  lol

No dodge.

It would be foolish to dodge ignorance.

They gave a position to a Traitor in his home state.

Already made the US Presidents and their 100s slaves point but the minority PC Maoists here don't want to discuss that just they are "offended" by the 'traitor' R.E Lee etc.   It's history but we gotta PC it these days!

do I sense a bit of the old 'Khemer Rouge' about this?  wipe out history, sanitize the past, apologise for those we like (so your statues are safe Washington and Jefferson because you are 'in')

"PC Maoists   'Khemer Rouge' "

Hyperbolic, irrational, gibberish.

What do you want to do ?   Mimic George Orwell's 1984  and re-write all of history.  You can not change history ?  Do you really want "History" forgotten for ever ?

Nobody is rewriting history.

Nobody is forgetting history.

Simply removing monuments that glorify Traitors and racists.

Thereby, removing an impetus for bigots.

"Lee was a top graduate of the United States Military Academy and an exceptional officer and military engineer in the United States Army for 32 years. During this time, he served throughout the United States, distinguished himself during the Mexican–American War, and served as Superintendent of the United States Military Academy."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_E._Lee

Gen. Lee was asked to lead the United States Army when the insurrection flared up.

Gen. Lee deserted, deciding to take up arms against his own brethren of 32 years and the United States of America.

He was a traitor.

States rights? Rights for what? To continue what?

Please don't be disingenuous.

Fortunately, they did not succeed in their bloody attempt to secede.

i did not have to look up wikipedia to know this and i still stand by my statement
