Public forum for police reform to kick off August 24

BANGKOK, 22nd August 2017 (NNT) - The national reform committee in charge of the justice system is ready to launch a campaign to collect public opinion on the police reform.

Chairman of the committee Manit Suksomjit, who is also the deputy chairman of the subcommittee on the collection of opinions, said on Monday that the public forum will invite members of the public and those related to the reform process to share their ideas in all four regions of Thailand.

Mr. Manit said that the first forum will involve residents of the Central region at Centra by Centara Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre, Chaeng Watthana on August 24 before the event is moved to Twin Lotus Hotel in Nakhon Si Thammarat on September 4.

He added that the next venue will be at Chiang Mai Phucome Hotel on September 4, before wrapping up at Kosa Hotel in Khon Kaen on September 21.

Mr. Manit went on to say that members of the public are also invited to send their opinions via post to P.O. Box 193 and www.thaipolicereform.org.

He said that opinions collected through all channels will later be analyzed before being presented to the main committee meeting.

It sounds more like a tour of Thai luxury hotels...

Nice work if you can get it

I somehow suspect that "Sack them all and start again", will be a fairly common suggestion, and if it isn't, it should be. Worst bunch of criminals I have ever encountered.

How much has to be paid to get them to read the complaints/suggestions?

yes, I am sure this will be a worthwhile venture by the police, where they listen and take seriously, public complaints.

Make anyone to lose face and risk to be shot, stabbed, or beheaded.

Ridiculous.

I think analyzed might be the wrong word here. Vetted may be more appropriate.
