I did a 90 day report today for my NonImm retirement 1 year permit to stay, and it was only extended to end of my current permit to stay, i.e. about 40 days.

I suppose this is normal now?? My next 90 day report will run from day #1 of my next extension of stay for one year?

In a previous period my 90 day report was valid until 90 days later, which extended beyond the NonImmO extension period on understanding I would extend?

Some offices do it the way they did yours. The one here did it that way at one time if my report was after my extension ended they set it to the date it ended.

You could do the extension application 15 days early and do the 90 day report at the same time. But they would probably date your next report as being due 90 days from that date.

When you do your extension they should give you a new report date which should be 90 days from the day you apply for the extension, not day 1 of the next extension. Just make sure that they give you a new date, if they don't, then report 90 days after the last report regardless of the date they've given you now.

IMO this is how they should do it and reset the 90 days at every extension renewal. Makes life easier for all.

Khon Kaen will only give you a 90 day report to the end of your extension to stay date.  Otherwise it could be construed as permission to stay until the next 90 day date.  The problem is that 4 x 90  = 360 which is not a full year so the two dates are out of step at the end of every year.

The stamp used by Jomtien Immigration to indicate your next report date says "This is not an extension of stay".

That should be clear enough.

I don't like the idea, when the expiration of the extension is less than 90 days away, of putting the expiration date of the extension on that stamp. It could mislead some to fall into the old trap of thinking that their extension renewal also suffices as a 90 day report.
