Good luck.

My wifes spouse visa was approved in one day, yes, only 24 hours! And this was recently as well.

If you submit a well presented and COMPLETE application with more than enough evidence of relationship and neither of you have any criminal history, you should be fine. I also believe the more people included in the application and if the sponsor has sponsored another party in the past, this will be checked up on, making the waiting time alittle longer for you. If you meet all the legal criteria, from our experience, I believe 99% of the decision is made on how the case officer views your relationship and the future of the relationship, so if you lodge your visa application at the embassy rather than at the useless VFS center, you can meet your case officer face to face and they will be able to see the two of you together, I feel this is also a positive thing, if your case officer gets a good impression from you it will help. Also not all applicants need to be interviewed (we didnt) so if you lodge a complete application and your case officer sees you personally, that might help them make a decision, so another reason to lodge at the embassy. Also show your case officer the respect that they deserve, this is Thailand and most likely your case officer will be Thai, so it wouldnt hurt to give them a "Wai" when you meet them :o

Remember these case officers have alot of other work to do, so if your application is complete, they will most likely approve it quicker so they can get rid of it, but if your application is not complete, it will most likely be bumped to the bottom of the pile while they wait for the rest of your doccuments. If you lodge at the VFS, you will have no feeling or little information to take home to think about, but by lodging at the embassy you will have more of an idea or feeling, especially after meeting your case officer.

Once again, good luck!

Absolutely correct

I have a Thai wife and we also have a son. My wife got her visa only 2 weeks after her interview.

We spent a lot of time putting together a complete application and I think this made all the difference. Our only hiccup was that between the application submition and the interview they asked for more evidence of my ability to finacially suport my wife for 2 years. This was a problem because I had allready submitted everything concerning my financials. I was a bit confused about this so I just sent them more bank statements and whatever else I could come up with and all was ok.

Best of luck mate, keep us updated.

I think you will have no

Well my wife went for the interview on the 10th with a minor hiccup at the front gate the security didnt have her name on the list so wouldnt let her in

She called me from the gate (i am in Melbourne) so i made a call to the Embassy problem solved in she went

Not a good start im thinking

So the interview went for an hour with an Aussie guy and a Thai Lady who were very kind she said

They said a decision would take 3 months

So now the wait begins
