August 28, 20178 yr Authorities could not stop Yingluck escaping, says Prawit By The Nation File photo: Gen Prawit Wongsuwan. BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan reiterated on Monday that the authorities had no way to prevent former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra from fleeing the country. “How could the authorities know when and where she would flee? Who would know it?” Prawit said at the Defence Ministry, in response to a reporter who pointed out that the authorities had monitored Yingluck’s movements, even when she went to temples to make merit. He said officials at the latest Defence Council meeting did not discuss Yingluck’s escape. “Yingluck’s escape was unexpected because she earlier always insisted that she would not flee. And there are police in front of her house all the time,” he said. Yingluck failed to hear the verdict in her negligence trial on Friday and sources disclosed she had fled to Dubai, where her brother, Thaksin, lives in exile. August 28, 20178 yr Complicit, incompetent, and absolutely pitifully poor at covering up after. And clowns like this expect the Thais to have faith in them administering the country's affairs.. Disgraceful ?

August 28, 20178 yr The more I read the more intrigued I become. This dude cannot just say it was in the Junta's interest to have her escape but perhaps they never thought through any escape excuse. Yes!! Army at the back and front BUT no-one thought there was anything suspicious about the helicopter. Edited August 28, 20178 yr by owl sees all added more content

Do they get danger-money, for standing in-front-of those orange arrows, I wonder ? The officer on-the-far-right has no paunch, must be a fake one ! "Yingluck remains stoic, when told her flight is in Economy !"
August 28, 20178 yr The most watched and guarded woman in Thailand simply gets on a helicopter and casually flies out of the country. You really couldn't make this crap up. lol
August 28, 20178 yr Prawit said they couldnt stop Yingluck escaping!!! No they couldnt, because they assisted her to depart. Guarded by police 24 hours a day, yet she just vanishes, yea right.
August 28, 20178 yr "Dubai, where her brother, Thaksin, lives in exile." When at last will they stop spreading this wrong information (from taksin's PR department), calling his escape from criminal charges "exile"
August 28, 20178 yr They have no problem banging people up for showing the slightest dissent but they can't stop an Ex PM from fleeing the country

August 28, 20178 yr Thaksin ,The flying saucer monk,The Red Bull heir,Yingluck, the common denominator is money to pay your way out. By the way Yingluck has more than one house and a variety of passports and obviously Mr Yingluck had no idea,or perhaps they forgot to ask him.
