"I have no window to look into another man's conscience"

Who knows what Thaksin really cares about in his inner most soul.Same applies to Prayuth,Suthep,Abhisit, you, me and Uncle Tom Cobley. If you have access to those secret stirrings, well done you.As for me I judge mostly by words spoken and action taken.

I can't really be bothered with your nonsense I'm afraid.I would just identify a particular silliness of yours. If there were a thousand ways to describe Thaksin, the very last thing I would suggest was "socialist."

If the cap fits........... wear it eh?

How about honest? Would you describe him as honest?

Or democrat? Would you describe him as a democrat?

I'll ignore the usual juvenile pompous dross you like to include on you posts. Yes or No answers will do.

Please don't confuse insolence with invective. You're simply not qualified to spar as your embarrassing comment about the cap fitting shows.

Anyway to humour the hoi pilloi

Honest. No - name a prominent Thai politician who is.One word will do.

Democrat.Yes - more so than most Thai politicians but his record is tarnished by his behaviour in office.

Which perhaps explains why Thais prefer to say, Thailand has never been colonised by another country, but don't mention/know-about certain other events ?

Apart from wars with Burma, Laos & Cambodia, there was also a little-known British episode, at the end of WW2  ...

" The Japanese surrendered on 15 August 1945. Immediately, Allied military responsibility for Thailand fell to the British. As soon as practicable, British and Indian troops were flown in and rapidly secured the release of surviving POWs. The British were surprised to find that the Japanese soldiers had already been largely disarmed by the Thais. "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Thailand_(1932–1973)

and  "The main effect of the peace treaty was to undo the Thai annexation of the Shan States and four of the Unfederated Malay States.[2] The British achieved less than they had hoped, largely because the United States opposed any punitive action against Thailand. They were unable, for instance, to reduce the size of Thai armed forces.[3] The treaty did require the free delivery of up to 1.5 million tons rice, which was in surplus in Thailand, to British Malaya, where there was a shortage.[4] It also forbade the Thais from building a canal across the Kra peninsula, which clause undercut the authority of Pridi Banomyong's government."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Thai_Peace_Treaty

The rice helped alleviate the widespread-starvation which had resulted during WW2, across the British South-East Asian Empire, as a result of the interruption of the normal shipping of rice from Thailand/Burma (who grew most of it) to Singapore/Malaya/India (where it was consumed).

But I digress.

When crap hit the fan and the Japs threw in the towel Thailand did what Thailand does best - engaged all reverse gears and played the excuse cards. Shame the Brits and Yanks did not leave them with a decent rule book to work with.

And does the General have first hand knowledge of this . I don't think so This is speculation

He wants to feel important about what he says

If that was the case Why did they let his aircraft into Thai airspace

Total speculation  on his part

Yeah right so you think she has been "disappeared" and big brother is just gonna cop it on the chin. I'm calling zero credibility on that one sorry mate.

Maybe her brother  wanted her gone. she was going to turn on him and tell authorities everything. To save her own skin. Then Thaksin would have to get rid of her. I believe that is what happened.

Would not help the political juncture Thailand has struggled with over the last few years in the eyes if the International community. Prayut is about to breach the white house (a place where Thaksin visited on invite during his exile) after a long and difficult road convincing the world the caretaker government was necessary.

Abducting an ex pm under political motivations further aligns Yingluck with Aung San Suu - beyond Martyrdom.

If I am wrong I will apologise to you.

Her btother could have taken her out. so she could not talk about, what really happened in that rice scam.

I really don't think that Thaksin, ruthless and ambitious for power as he undoubtedly is, would be complicit in the demise of his own sister.

What I do think is possible is that the junta, or elements from it, may be holding her. Thaksin having been warned not to go public or else...
I see it (only) as a possibility because it answers three questions. Why is Yingluck, such a skilled and prolific user of social media silent? Why has she apparently " abandoned" her son, and why is Thaksin so quiet?
As I said it is just conjecture. She may surface - but it has been a week now.

Do we actually know that the Thai ATC did let Thaksin's private-jet overfly Thai airspace, or even land here, I've only seen claims that one possible escape-route was out of Cambodia, then Singapore & on to Dubai, which wouldn't need to fly across Thailand ?

So now there is aiding and abetting a criminal to add to the list.
These Shinawatras don't give a damn about the Thai people or the Thai economy that they ripped off for billions.
But I think the Thais have woken up to their thieving and cheating.
Keep going after them Khun Prayuth, you are worthy as the Thailand PM.

There you go again. She's not a convicted criminal yet.

link: 1.mp4 very grainy video supposedly of Yingluck meeting her brother at a private airfield, somewhere allegedly in the UK...  (refuelling issues must have been resolved if true)...

This may all be speculation, false information, old photos etc... but this is whats circulating on Thai message groups...

Someone with some photoshop skills can enlarge those advertisements in the background in the pic of her and Thaksin and see what year the ads are from to get a time estimate on the photo with the two of them in it.

For the airplane pic, obviously someone can research the tail numbers and get some info. It'll be registered to one of his legal entities for sure.

I think claims of abduction are bizarre , im pretty certain she skipped the country and quite frankly who would blame her. Who knows if she got a helping hand from the current regime , its certainly plausible , lets face it they are hardly likely to admit to it.

She has not been spoted anywhere.....

I agree 100 percent its either the government or her brother. But something very strange has happened to her.

She would have been on social media by now. Something has happened to this woman, and it is not good.

it is a requirement that top police have very limited intelligence ? so many people identified the easiest path for the junta BEFORE she fled

I have it on very good authority that she is in Dubai. Honestly my friend is a close friend of a prince they share interest in Arabians and he himself fled Thailand during a investigation. Paid the police of course. A hard nut will leave it there. But she is in Dubai and they don't give a toss about little Prayut

the OP and news article reminds me of western news and police when they say that the most basic attack by ISIS, such as driving a vehicle into a crowd, was "well planned". just lol.

talking up the enemy's skill is a common ploy to divert attention.
