Smithy2016
Hello everyone. I have tried e-mailing the Thai Consulate in PENANG, MALAYSIA several times but unfortunately had no reply. Can anyone please tell me the (latest) documents required for a single entry (90 day)- Non Immigrant O Visa (Thai marriage/spouse) visa ? Thank you in advance! ubonjoe
Marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card signed by her. You may also need to show at least 200k baht in the bank.
manly36
My understanding is that required funds are 400k unless this has recently changed.

You may only get a single the first time, some have reported that. If you have the 400,000 and you end up with a single, 90 days, you can convert it to an extension of stay at your local Imm' office meaning reporting every 90 days at the same office.
Popular Post HTC
Did mine in Penang earlier this month. Marriage cert original and a copy. Wife's ID card copy. Wife's house book copy. Bank book and copy with 400k. I got a multi. I used Jim Tachinamurthy's agency service so I didn't need to attend the embassy myself.

You can put the cash in, update bank book, make a photocopy of the pages showing your name/acct #, and the ending balance, and take that with you. No seasoning is needed. You only need the copies of the relevant bankbook pages; no need to show the original.

I don't recall any reports of Penang asking for the original though.
