Pattaya police have promised action against the latest person posing in the newly opened road tunnel.

In a stunt that angered netizens a man parked his red sports car in the middle of the tunnel and posed for pictures.

People online said it was disgraceful and could cause accidents.

Pattaya station chief Apichai Krobpetch agreed saying he was aware of the story, reported Tnews.

He said his men have a clear image and view of the license plate and will go after the poster of the pictures.

Do we know the poster of the picture is the poser???

Another case of "shoot the messenger" because they do not like the the message???

looks like he did it when there was no traffic around, hardly a threat to the social fabric

Big warning signs before you go into the tunnel, in Thai and English, saying no stopping in the tunnel.

Even If taken early morning only needs a couple of tired/over the limit drivers to potentially give everyone a bad day........

and this is national news,  why dont they get a bloody life, catch some proper crims for gods sake

Put the **** in an MRI tunnel for a couple of hours; that should cure him!  He won't be going near anymore tunnels after that.

When people resort to this sort of crap it shows how little there is to do or see in Pattaya !

Interesting car -anybody know ?

The photo quality is not the best but possibly a Mitsubishi 3000 or Mazda RX7 both of which are posing pouches of cars ..

Says Merkman, who obviously doesn't give a shit about road safety in Thailand.

How about doing your job and catch traffic law offenders BEFORE the pictures get posted on fecesbook.

From the manufacturer of the wankel engine and driven by a similar sounding person

Until it's realized he's a son of a police lieutenant and the car was previously impounded.

....but they can't keep the motorcycles out??? (Which is a stupid rule IMHO).

Why not? People seem to be able to park wherever they like with impunity all over Pattaya.

"People online said it was disgraceful and could cause accidents."

Or are the social media monkeys just jealous they didn't think of doing it first?

Sooner or later someones vehicle will break down in the tunnel...can photos be taken of that ? How about if 2 cars crash are photos allowed then ?

You not had an M R I scan .?

The cops, who promise 'action', are at the moment taking up a course in "tunnel vision" to ensure they are able to operate more accurately.

You don't see those headlights looming in the background?  Just a few seconds till they overtake; in the meantime, the photographer needs to finish his antics, get back in the car, securely fasten his seatbelt :whistling:, and pull away from the curb.  I see a rear-end collision in the works.

not a very smart thing to do but not half as dangerous as the way many other drivers behave in this country. take the splinter out of your own eye...

200B fine. Hit him where it hurts! :stoner:
