  1. I would highly advice to avoid using a agent. Some immigration offices (like Phuket) are very reluctant to do a extension if the person used a agent previously and the extension wasn't issues in Phuket. They will tell the costumer to go to the immigration office where his extension was issued as they know that most agent issued extensions are done with fake paperwork.
  2. If you use the 800 K Baht in your Thai bank account option you should not need to proof where the money is coming from. I only can talk for Phuket immigration but they don't ask for where the money is coming from.
  3. You always could send a email to the Phuket Immigration Volunteers ( piv.information(at)gmail.com )for the correct information 🙂
  4. When using the 800.000 Baht in the bank account the money doesn't have to from overseas. (no proof is required where the money is coming from) The international transfer proof is required when you don't use the bank account and can't get the embassy income certificate. Then you have to proof that you get 65.000 Baht monthly overseas income.
  5. Phuket does not have a arrival fast track but maybe can the airline rep help if you booked assistance.
  6. All depends on the Amphur. I did my yellow book in Kathu and only my wife was required together with the copies. Normal copies and no certification was required.
  7. I use the Siam Mandarina Hotel ( +/- 2500 Baht) on a regular basis and can't complain about it. They have a shuttle very 30 mins or so and it takes only a few minutes.
  8. If i'm not mistaken are e-bikes under 500 W with manual pedal support are legal for people over 15 years and don't need registration or insurance.
  9. TM stands for Too Moo which is immigration (or close to it) in Thai, so makes sense. It depends where you do the application as all those mentioned are not a issue for Phuket immigration.
  10. It depends where you do the application, In Phuket the wife has to be present when applying for the extension.
  11. Any agents promising a DL without going to the DLT or doing a exam is totally 100% illegal and in most cases they don't even can't provide the DL. Friends of my tried this and the agent only requested several times additional payments for so called obstacles. In the end he never got his DL and went to the DLT by himself for the renewal.
  12. Yes, shouldn't be a problem. Did it myself a few months ago.
